Homework is a very important part of this class. It is vital that you do your homework for multiple reasons. First off your daily grades are worth 50% of your six weeks grade. Second being that learning a foreign language takes practice. It takes repetition and effort. The homework I assign you is to HELP you get the practice and exposure you need in order to better understand and learn Spanish. I won't assign you homework for fun. I don't enjoy grading papers, but I understand the importance of practice.
Another reason it is important that you do your homework is because the wonderful textbook program we have is very repetitive and builds upon practice. So let's say I assign you a practice in your workbook. You see a problem in your homework. You may see the same problem on your quiz and then again on your test. If you don't do your homework then when you get to the quiz and your test you may not know the answer, however if you do your homework and you work to figure out the correct answer, you are much more likely to remember it, on your quiz and on your test. Then again on your six weeks test. Some thing on your homework can effect all areas of your grade.
When it comes to homework assignments no late work is accepted. You have reached an age where you must be responsible. Please do not come to me with excuses about why you do not have your homework, didn't have time to do your homework, etc. If you are sick and are absent do the best you can, and I will give you extra time to get it completed.
