Welcome,

My name is Carrie Devine AKA "Mrs. Carrie". I teach our three day full day Pre-K. Which is a  four-year-old class on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 8:00am - 2:00pm. I also teach one of our three- year-old classes on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:00am - 11:30am. 

My classroom is a place where children look forward to each new day, because of new experiences within it.  I strive to make the classroom  a place where children are comfortable and happy, because they are learning things in which they are interested in, and are doing things that they can accomplish.

I have designed  the classroom so that it presents an inviting environment for three and four year-old children.  The room has been planned so that each child may spend part of his or her time in both group and individual activities.

Block Area:  Gives children the ability to develop gross motor skills and promotes creative imagination.

Library Area: Is provided so that children may become interested in books and learn how to handle them in an appropriate manner. It also gives the children a place to go and have a quiet place to get away from a busy classroom.

Art Area:  Paints, paper, glue, crayons, scissors and other art supplies are provided in this area. These are the Preschooler’s tools for the written language.

Manipulative Area:  Toys such as Legos, puzzles, stringing beads, etc. are provided to help children develop their fine motor skills and to help them develop problem-solving skills.
