¡Pura Vida! I am honored to be able to teach at Coronado High School. It is a great place with wonderful students and staff. I am in my eleventh year of teaching and absolutely love what I do. It is an amazing experience to be able to work with teenagers in such a transformational time of their lives. My family is from Modesto, California where I grew up with a great deal of Spanish in my community and in my school. Like my students, I began studying Spanish in high school. I then began traveling to Mexico doing service projects with my youth group and was fascinated by Latin American Culture. Since then, I completed my B.A degree from Azusa Pacific University in Religion and Spanish, my Master of Arts from the University of Colorado, and my Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. Yes – I love school! I have a wonderful family, my wife Sonia and my daughter Sophie. We have lived in Colorado Springs for twelve years and we love it. What a great place with so many opportunities. We try to spend as much time together as we can just enjoying each other and having fun as a family In my free time, I help run Cougars Care at Coronado, an organization that helps Coronado students and family members in need. I also spend quite a bit of time cycling and having fun outdoors doing a variety of things. If you ever have any questions or need anything, let me know. Go Cougars!! 1590 W.
