HAPPY FALL! 4th Grade

Hi,

      It is so wonderful to be back home, at Paine School! I'm sorry that I haven't been keeping up with the webpage, but you have gotten some news from the school newsletters. It has been a very hectic beginning of school, still unpacking and looking for some missing things. Let me catch you up.

   In Science, we are working on our "Land & Water" unit. The children will really enjoy it. They are looking forward to our DIRTY experiments . We are just finishing Chapter 2 in S.S. and will be learning about the Northeast region when we finish Chapter 3. We are enjoying all the stories in Treasures and have been learning about proper sentences in Grammar. Next week we will be learning about all the different types of nouns. Our book reports that have come in look great. We will be sharing them on Oct. 21st, their due date. We are really moving along in math. The kids are working on different graphs and place value of large numbers. They really need to keep practicing their facts and be more careful with their calculations. 

   We are very fortunate to have 2 volunteer "artsy" moms. Mrs. Cotta and Mrs. Marx have worked on 2 lovely fall crafts tha the children really enjoyed doing. Thank you both so much!!!!!
