Course: In this class we will look at essential skills we need for life after high school.

v     Personal Hygiene- Being clean makes you feel better about yourself. Why is personal hygiene important to us? Dressing appropriately for the weather and different activities in our daily life. Keep track of your own personal cleanliness and if you think you are doing a good job.

v     Cooking- We will make meals and desserts. We will discuss how you plan and prepare a healthy meal. Practice using proper cleanliness and proper utensils. Work on cleaning up after ourselves once we cook. Examine proper cooking for particular items.

v     Cleaning- We will have different jobs in our room that will be done daily. This will teach you responsibility and getting the job done without being asked. We will also do different activities to understand why cleaning is important and why we need to do it.

v     Living- We will discuss the possible options of where we want to live after high school. What options are out there? Where do we want to be living?

v     Grocery Store- We will make weekly visits to the grocery store, as needed. We will make a list beforehand of needed groceries.
