Welcome Beck Families!
With the 2017-18 school year the Beck Family Volunteers (BFV) celebrates our 19th year of operation and service to our school. The goal of the BFV is to enhance the educational experience for our students with the support of our parents and community.
A wide range of activities are enjoyed by our students throughout the year because of help from parents, our staff and community. Though our school receives state funding, those resources are limited and do not cover all of our needs. The BFV's fundraising efforts help ensure our students have an exceptional experience at Beck. Our efforts go beyond school book sales and social/fundraising events like the Beck Carnival. The funds raised also help with technology upgrades like new laptops for our children in their classrooms, purchasing the Raz-kids online reading program for Kindergarten, field trips, school beautification efforts and classroom supplies that may not otherwise be possible. The bottom line is that our children benefit from your support that go beyond textbook learning and studying.
We encourage you to be active and would like to utilize your strengths and talents to benefit the entire school. Whether you volunteered in the past or are new to Beck, please take the opportunity to get involved. Your volunteer efforts will help chart a new and exciting course and our kids are more likely to succeed when their parents are actively involved in school.
Come and join us the first Wednesday of alternating months at 7:00 PM in the Media center. Free childcare is available too!
