Overview: The Social Studies Department at McIntosh High School welcomes the opportunity to expose students to an exciting, challenging, and rewarding semester in American Government. My goal is to present the students with information that will be useful to them as well as prepare them for their future educational endeavors. American Government should be an environment where students grow and develop an understanding of our governmental system. This is a senior level course that gives in-depth information about the formation, structure and daily operations of the American Democracy.

Student's will gain knowledge and tools to actively participate as informed and responsible citizens. This course will challenge students. This course will make students think for themselves. This course will help students chart a path to becoming adults who understand and participate in our nations future.
