WELCOME TO SOCIAL STUDIES! Get ready to learn about American History, the U.S. Constitution, economics, and world geogrpahy. You'll also learn about how these subjects are important to your life, and you'll learn how to become a better citizen of the U.S. and the world. A variety of learning strategies will be employed in my class, but most importantly, you'll be an active participant in your own learning. That means you'll be involved in hands-on learning activities, not just sitting around in your desk listening to me all the time. I will have high expectations for you this year, but I hope you will have high expectations for me and this class, as well. You will work hard, but I believe you will discover that learning can be a fun and rewarding experience. This is your website and it was created to help you be successful in your Social Studies class. For that reason, I will expect you to use it on a regular basis. It will have course descriptions, reading and homework assignments, information for projects, dates of tests and quizzes, discussion board topics, and links to many helpful resources.
